~ Swartz Family Farm ~

SALAD MIX is back! There is plenty and the quality is excellent!! We are also happy to announce the return of our gourmet RED LEAF LETTUCE. Our other new crops are progressing well, including new BOSTON LETTUCE, GREEN LEAF LETTUCE, ASIAN GREENS and more! WINTER SQUASH: We are also welcoming the return of SPAGHETTI SQUASH and ACORN SQUASH from Plainville Farm in Hadley.

We are now gearing up for our FALL/WINTER CSA program. We are the only local farm to offer a FULL weekly CSA that runs from October through March! CSA members will get a weekly supply of lettuce, salad mix, greens, culinary herbs, root crops, honey, jam, eggs, bread, and other local farm products. Dont' miss out! We are now accepting new members! To get more information and to reserve your spot, simply click on "Fall/Winter CSA shares!" on the left hand toolbar and follow the instructions. We expect these to go fast, so reserve your spot as soon as you can! One change from last year is that we will now also offer a "single share" which is essentially a "half share" for those of you who do not require the full share amount. Of course, all members will still have the option to place orders on the site to add on to their current CSA share!

Don't forget to come and visit us and many great local farms at the NORTH AMHERST FARMERS MARKET. The market runs every Saturday, from 9am till 2pm at WATROBAS MARKET on Sunderland Road in the center of North Amherst. We hope to see you there!!

BLOCK PARTY!!

MARK YOUR CALENDERS! Our first annual North Amherst Farmer's Market BLOCK PARTY will take place on Saturday, September 11th, from 9-2. Come and meet your local farms, pet lots of farm animals, listen to local music (all day!) and enjoy the local harvest! There will be produce giveaways, face painting, lots and lots of socializing and more. Come have fun with us!! Go to www.NorthAmherstMarket.com for updates, crop reports and farmer information!

FALL WINTER CSA share payment assistance: Please go to: https://secure.umassfive.org/farm_share_loan.html for more information. We also offer a payment plan. Please contact us for details.

The FALL/WINTER CSA runs from October through the end of February. Each share will include our world famous SALAD MIX, LETTUCE, GOURMET GREENS, HERBS, and VEGETABLES, in addition to local fruits, vegetables and prepared foods (such as local breads, cheese, jam, and soups) from the best producers in the Valley!!

For more information, click "CSA Member Shares" on the menu bar. Don't be left out!!

Please consider this commitment to your health and the support of numerous local farms. Our research indicates that you can cut your produce bill nearly in HALF but purchasing a local CSA share. Thank You!

*If you find a whole share to be too much for an individual, we encourage you to "split" a share with a friend or neighbor. If you would like to be connected to others who may like to split a share, please send us an email and we will put you in touch with someone who is interested as well.
